Η έρευνά μου εστιάζει στην ιστορία της ύστερης αρχαιότητας και του Βυζαντίου. Ανάμεσα στις θεματικές που με ενδιαφέρουν ιδιαίτερα είναι η η κοινωνική και πολιτισμική ιστορία, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη βία, την αναπηρία, την ασθένεια, την φροντίδα, τον μοναχισμό, την οικογένεια και τις σχέσεις εξουσίας.
